Yulya Yaremchuk's

My twin sister and me were listening to music even in our mother’s womb! Our father-saxophone player’s creative experiments formed our attitude to music even there, and when we came out into this world we learnt how to express our feelings in words, we started to bring our plans into life.

Our first stage was an old , but rather big wardrobe, and our first listeners and fans were old grand-mothers from neighborhood. They applauded us loudly while talking about their problems and diseases, but we still were grateful to them and carried on reciting Shevchenko’s verses, singing folk songs – everything we were able to. But once our stage career crashed literarily speaking. The old roof of the wardrobe (did you think that we made performances inside the wardrobe?) couldn’t manage with our creative weight and with horrible crash put the point in our career on this stage…

So that we would stop breaking furniture, our mother took us to gymnastics. But some mystics brought musical teacher into the sports hall and she proposed me to learn how to play VIOLIN!!! In my imagination I have already taken this object, I was dreaming about, on my shoulder, my cheek touched the noble, there was a smell of colophony in my nostrils, and my fingers touched the shaggy surface…but when I opened my eyes, I found myself in piano class, and there was a terrible sound of violin behind the wall…created by my sister. Tears were rolling down my cheeks, and my fingers disobediently pressed keys of the piano. But they say that practice makes perfection, so very soon I started getting enjoyment from squeezing from this instrument magnificent sounds which merged in the melody. Musical school, and soon musical academy gave me the opportunity not only to express melodies written by great classical musicians of the past, but also to express my inner feelings. I was becoming a musician! I was fortunate to meet supporters who assisted me in conveying my emotions by using different styles (before I accepted only classical music).
This was the beginning of “AtmAsfera” band – my sister who plays flute now (it is another story which she will tell you herself!), Andrej ( it is easier to name instruments he doesn’t play), Taras (Barabas, because he drums) and bass-guitar player Igor.

So it is not enough to be born, one should also be brought up and that is why we need instructors..
